About the role
Location: Greensboro, NC. Contract Duration: 6 Months.
Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day activities in the Formulation Development Labs.
- Work under the guidance of Formulation Scientists and Lab Technician to prepare small batch size formulations and assess their physical properties.
- Record all results according to proper data storage guidelines provided and use available tools to visualize results.
- Support quality assessment of products related to production or market support.
- Help the Lab Technician with maintenance of the labs (general lab and equipment maintenance, restocking, clean-outs, etc.), with a key focus on safety.
Qualifications
A bachelors or associates degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field required; previous laboratory experience preferred.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to learn and effectively use new software tools for Electronic Lab Notebook purposes
- Able to calculate recipes for a specified batch size, given composition information in wt% or w/v% and density
- Able to adjust recipe calculations based on specified ingredient purity
