Laboratory Assistant

About the role

As a Lab Assistant at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory, assisting in the collection and processing of patient samples, and communicating test results to healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process laboratory specimens according to established protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment safely and efficiently.
• Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings to healthcare providers.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Laboratory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of microbiology, biology, hematology, immunohematology, urinalysis, and chemistry.
• Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a clinical laboratory as it applies to the collection and processing of samples.
• Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

Pay

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $15.67 to $22.14, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Rotating weekends and holidays, Monday through Friday from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
