Laboratory Assistant 1

About the Role

This is a 12-month contract position located in Greensboro, NC. The Laboratory Assistant 1 performs research activities and tasks in a laboratory environment, supporting pesticide product analysis and laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Performs lab analyses, including physical testing of pesticide products.
• Records observations and measurements accurately.
• Creates reports and other documents using provided templates.
• Cleans and maintains laboratories and equipment.
• Performs infrastructure tasks such as calibrations of balances and other lab instruments.
• Assists laboratory colleagues as needed.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Works with or without direct supervision, demonstrating the ability to work independently.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field (chemistry preferred).
• General laboratory skills required.
• Ability to follow instructions and pre-established test guidelines for laboratory testing.

Skills

• Experience generating data in a US EPA GLP (Good Laboratory Practice regulatory standards) environment is desirable.
