Laboratory Analyst (Technician Level II) - Chemistry
About the role
The Laboratory Analyst - Chemistry is responsible for following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to prepare, process, and analyze samples in addition to generating and reviewing reports. This role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process samples
- Sample analysis (including the use of a Flame AA)
- Generate and review lab reports
- Utilize a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- Perform Quality Control (QC)/Quality Assurance (QA) activities
- Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and preliminary troubleshooting
- Follow industry standards (ASTM, EPA, etc.) and SOPs
- Adhere to and support an ISO 17025 quality system
Requirements
- Associate's degree in a science-related field (Chemistry preferred)
- At least 1 year of laboratory experience outside of an academic setting
- Instrumentation experience
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record is required
Preferred Requirements
- Laboratory experience in Environmental Chemistry
- Flame AA and/or ICP experience

Skills
Knowledge of industry standards (ASTM, EPA, etc.), adherence to ISO 17025 quality system, proficiency in using a LIMS system, and ability to follow SOPs are essential skills for this role.
