About the role

Washington Mills is seeking a Laboratory Analyst – Technician in Niagara Falls, NY. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in an employee-focused environment with a small-company feel, contributing to the company's mission of producing high-quality abrasive, ceramic, and refractory grains and powders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing on natural and synthetic minerals using physical and chemical test procedures
  • Absorb and assist in sample logging
  • Collaborate with production and research teams, and other team members across the Washington Mills family
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of analysis, perform calibration of equipment, and maintain instruments
  • Use instrumental analysis and wet chemistry methods as directed by the Laboratory Manager
  • Work collaboratively in a manufacturing setting with other Laboratory team members

Requirements

  • Possess an Associate’s Degree in Laboratory Science with 3-5 years’ of experience
  • The ability to perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • Able to work well independently and within a team environment
  • Good math skills and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to obtain government clearance upon hire, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation

$48,500 to $55,000 annually
