Laboratory Analyst

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries to ensure products are safe, ingredients are authentic, and labelling is accurate. The Laboratory Analyst performs analytical testing of water samples in compliance with OEPA and EPA regulatory standards, serving as the primary analyst for EPA 525.2 and providing backup support for other analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform EPA 525.2 analyses for water samples following all SOPs, QA/QC, and laboratory safety standards.
• Prepare and document reagents, calibration standards, and quality control samples.
• Operate and maintain analytical instrumentation related to primary methods.
• Review and validate analytical results; report deviations or issues as needed.
• Maintain method documentation, including Initial and Ongoing Demonstration of Capability (IDOC/ODOC) for assigned methods.
• Participate in proficiency testing (PT), audits, and corrective actions as assigned.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all laboratory safety protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field OR equivalent laboratory experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPA 525.2 (training provided).
• Experience operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation.
• Excellent documentation and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 A.M.–5:00 P.M., with additional time as needed.

Pay

$22.00–$24.00/hour based on experience.
