Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Use basic science knowledge to learn techniques and methods of the lab.
- Perform laboratory tests and/or experiments following established procedures or protocols.
- Operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Develop a basic tracking database/spreadsheet based on study requirements utilizing Excel, Access, or similar software applications.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records, present data summaries, identify and resolve common problems, and use basic analytical skills to implement assigned projects.
- Use basic laboratory skills, processing, storing, labeling, and identifying study samples.
- Maintain and make minor adjustments to equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a high school diploma with some science coursework.
- Classified Title: Laboratory Aide
- Role/Level/Range: ACRO37.5/01/CA
- Starting Salary Range: $15.00 - $20.25 HRLY ($20.00 targeted; Commensurate w/experience)
- Employee group: Casual / On Call
- Schedule: M-F; days/times will vary
- FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
