Labor Relations Specialist/Senior Analyst
About the role
LABOR RELATIONS SPECIALIST/SENIOR ANALYST, Vice President for Human Resources, to support administration of collective bargaining agreements and management of our unionized workforce. This role combines analytical expertise with hands-on employee relations responsibilities, requiring strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of labor relations and contract interpretation; advise managers on contract compliance, union personnel supervision, and labor-related issues; conduct grievance hearings, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution; draft decisions and labor relations documentation; prepare statistical analyses and costing models for negotiations and arbitrations; maintain wage data, benefits utilization, union membership records, and grievance statistics; participate in labor-management meetings, negotiations, and arbitrations; develop and deliver training programs on contract compliance and union environment management; and support strategic HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support administration of collective bargaining agreements and management of the unionized workforce
- Advise managers on contract compliance, union personnel supervision, and labor-related issues
- Conduct grievance hearings, workplace investigations, and conflict resolution
- Draft decisions and labor relations documentation

- Participate in labor-management meetings, negotiations, and arbitrations

- Support strategic HR projects and process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related discipline
- Minimum of five years of experience in labor relations, HR analytics, or advising in a unionized environment
- Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS systems, Excel, SAP, FileMaker, and reporting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to interact constructively with employees at all levels and union representatives
- Strong organizational and record-management skills
Qualifications
- Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish)
- SHRM-CP or related HR certification
- Experience conducting workplace investigations
- Ability to obtain government clearance and availability for intermittent second or third shift coverage
