Labor & Employment Litigation Attorney
Position Overview
The firm's esteemed Labor, Employment & OSHA Practice Group seeks an intelligent, self-driven attorney to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting major national employers. Candidates should exhibit strong research skills and have experience in employment advice and counseling, drafting workplace policies and employment-related agreements, and handling litigation matters such as restrictive covenant disputes, single-plaintiff claims, and class actions. Experience in traditional labor is an added advantage. The position is open to candidates in their 2nd to 4th year class, with opportunities available in either the Los Angeles or San Francisco office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case development and litigation strategy.
- Provide expert employment advice and counsel to clients.
- Draft and review workplace policies and employment-related agreements.
- Engage in litigation activities, including handling restrictive covenant disputes, single-plaintiff claims, and class actions.
- Manage deposition experience, PAGA matters, wage-and-hour class actions, and ensure a comprehensive understanding of California employment litigation.
- Possess or develop traditional labor experience to enhance the practice group's capabilities.
Qualifications
- Strong academic record with excellent research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Active membership in good standing with the California Bar is required.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Compensation
The position offers a good-faith base salary range of $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Actual compensation will depend on experience, education, bar admissions, and qualifications. Additionally, the firm offers a comprehensive bonus program, including productivity, business development, and merit-based incentives.
