Labor & Employment Counsel – Hybrid (Wilmington, MA)

Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment-related documents and policies.
  • Providing legal guidance on employment and labor matters, including accommodations, wage and hour compliance, and employee relations.
  • Conducting and advising on internal investigations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including HR and leadership, on employment-related matters and initiatives.
  • Managing employment and labor issues for operations across the U.S. and Canada.
  • Staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to provide proactive counsel.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in employment and labor law.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment laws and regulations (knowledge of Canadian employment law is a plus).
  • Proven track record of advising clients or internal stakeholders on employment-related matters.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, technology, and problem-solving skills.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and licensed to practice law in MA.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting multinational organizations.
  • Familiarity with cross-border employment issues between the U.S. and Canada.
  • Experience working closely with HR teams and handling sensitive employee relations matters.
