Responsibilities
- Defend against single plaintiff litigation matters including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, and reasonable accommodation issues.
- Handle PAGA matters and class actions.
- Manage cases from start to finish independently.
- Draft and respond to initial pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions.
- Take and defend depositions, including plaintiffs’ depositions and corporate witnesses.
- Provide employment counseling on federal and state laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California.
- 9-12 years of relevant experience in labor and employment law.
- Experience in defending against single plaintiff litigation, class actions, and PAGA matters.
- Strong research, writing, and academic skills.
- Ability to work cases independently from start to finish.
- A smaller portable book of business is ideal, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position reflects factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications, geographic location, market demands, and business needs. The estimated salary range for this position is $270,000 – $290,000.
