Labor & Employment Attorney

About the role

The PositionA leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced labor and employment attorney to provide long-term overflow support to its legal team. This attorney will handle a broad mix of day-to-day L&E matters, including employment policies, OSHA-related issues, compliance, memos and recommendations, staffing and consulting agreements/SOWs, benefits-related matters, and pre-litigation support such as investigation escalations and position statements.

Responsibilities

• Handle a broad mix of day-to-day labor and employment matters
• Provide support for employment policies, OSHA-related issues, compliance, memos and recommendations
• Manage staffing and consulting agreements/SOWs
• Assist with benefits-related matters
• Support pre-litigation efforts such as investigation escalations and position statements

Requirements

• Approximately 5+ years of relevant labor and employment experience
• Comfortable handling a varied workload
• A combination of BigLaw training and in-house experience is preferred
• Healthcare experience is helpful but not required

Qualifications

• Genuinely interested in a long-term project engagement
• Willing to build relationships and become integrated into a highly collaborative legal department

Skills

• Strong labor and employment law knowledge
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a varied workload effectively
