About the role
Permanent, fully remote Labor & Employment Attorney position representing employees and labor unions. The firm focuses exclusively on plaintiff-side cases.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance on labor and employment-related matters.
- Represent clients in court, before government agencies, or in private legal matters.
- Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Conduct research and analysis of legal problems to develop case strategies.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and legal briefs.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes.
- Advocate for the rights of employees and labor unions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current labor and employment laws.
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop litigation strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- Handle a high volume of cases independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Labor & Employment Attorney.
- Licensed to practice law in California.
- Proven experience with wage-and-hour or equivalent labor and employment litigation.
- Exceptional research, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Commitment to social justice and high-quality legal representation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
