Labor & Employment Attorney

About the role

Cozen O'Connor seeks an attorney with 4–6 years of experience to join the Labor & Employment Department in the Boston office. The role involves representing employers in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and before government agencies. Traditional labor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advising employers on a wide range of employment law matters, including:
• Discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims
• Wage and hour compliance and disputes, including class and collective actions
• Compliance with the FMLA, ADA, and other federal, state, and local leave laws
• Breach of contract and whistleblower claims
• Enforcement and defense of noncompete and non-solicitation agreements
• Handling electronic discovery and related software tools such as Relativity
• Implementing AI-approved tools

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience representing employers in federal and state courts, arbitration proceedings, and before government agencies
• Active Massachusetts license in good standing
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills

Qualifications

• Traditional labor experience (preferred)
• Experience with electronic discovery platforms (e.g., Relativity)
• Experience with or willingness to adopt AI-approved tools
