Labor & Employment Associate

Key Responsibilities

• Represent employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff, class action and representative matters
• Advises clients on day-to-day employment law issues and workplace compliance
• Drafts employment policies, handbooks and employment-related agreements
• Handles wage and hour matters and restrictive covenant disputes
• Conducts legal research and drafts pleadings, motions and other substantive court filings
• Affords practical, commercially focused advice to national employers
• Works collaboratively across a broad range of labour and employment matters

Who You Are

• 2nd–4th year associate
• Employment litigation and counselling experience
• Experience handling wage and hour matters, advice and counsel, and employment agreements
• Experience with restrictive covenants, single-plaintiff litigation and class actions preferred
• Traditional labor law experience is a plus
• Strong research, writing, analytical and advocacy skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Active California Bar admission and good standing
• Motivated, collaborative and committed to delivering exceptional client service

Compensation

Salary Range: $225,000 – $275,000 (DOE)
