About the role

Fairview is seeking a dedicated, motivated, and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum team at Southdale Hospital in Edina, Minnesota.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
  • Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care.
  • Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
  • Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care.
  • Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP).

Requirements

  • MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Certification)
  • 1-2 years of current RN Labor & Delivery experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  • 2-5 years RN L&D experience preferred

  • Development and implementation of individualized care plans.

Pay

The posted compensation range corresponds to the minimum and maximum pay rates outlined in your union agreement for the respective job classifications at the time of job posting. An individual's pay rate within this range may be influenced by various factors, including FTE, skills, knowledge, educational background, and qualifying experience as specified in the contract. If your role is eligible for a sign-on bonus, the bonus program that is approved and in place at the time of offer, is what will be honored.

Schedule

This position is 60 hours per two weeks on nights, 12 hour shifts (7:00pm-7:30am) with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
