Labor & Delivery Aide

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of clerical duties.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the unit.
• Affords assistance with patient care, including preparation of the surgical patient.
• Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).
• Completion of Surgical Tech program or at least 1 year of related experience preferred.
