Labor Compliance Manager

About the role

This position can be remote or based full‑time in our office in San Diego, CA. Specific location details and expectations will be discussed during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Manage the labor compliance group, overseeing labor compliance across the company.
• Work with Operations and other SOLV Energy departments to administer and update the Corporate Labor Compliance Program.
• Coordinate and perform periodic internal audits of labor compliance procedures.
• Monitor and stay abreast of applicable laws and regulations that might affect labor compliance policies and procedures.
• Identify and share best control practices, including software, related to labor compliance, and advise on needed changes.
• Manage investigations of identified or reported compliance issues, collaborating with business leadership and relevant departments to determine appropriate action.
• Participate in third‑party/government reviews, audits, and inquiries, working with appropriate departments and outside resources.
• Identify, develop, and deliver training on labor compliance efforts.
• Attend external training and actively participate in industry‑related compliance organizations to stay current on trends and issues.

Requirements

• Seven years of experience in labor compliance within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with construction industry contract types and language, especially as they relate to labor compliance.
• Ability to comprehend government and other regulations and determine proper applicability to the company’s business.
• Current awareness of industry issues related to labor compliance.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay

• Salary range: $101,808 – $127,260.
