About the role
The San Diego office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a Labor and Employment Associate or Counsel to join its growing national AmLaw 80 team.
Responsibilities
- Representing employers in employment litigation
- Providing employment counseling and advice
- Familiarity with traditional labor matters, including arbitrations, labor negotiations, union avoidance campaigns, and NLRB proceedings
- Expertise in all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions practice, hearings, and trial preparation
- Outstanding writing, research, and analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials
Requirements
- 3-10 years of experience representing employers in labor and employment matters
- Motivated to join an active national Labor and Employment practice
- Ready to assume responsibility for client matters
- Strong interpersonal skills and thrive in a large, collaborative team environment
- Admitted to the California Bar
