Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the Labor & Delivery unit at Mission Hospital, you’ll have access to strong staffing support, advanced technology, and resources to deliver safe, high-quality care. The Labor & Delivery unit is a 16-bed, fast-paced environment with a high volume of deliveries. This role involves providing care to patients in laboring rooms, operating rooms, and OB triage. This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
Provides leadership to facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families. Implements medically prescribed interventions.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing (eNLC license may apply; confirm with NCBON)
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification
- One year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Preferred Qualifications
- National Certification in area of specialty
