Lab Technician - Upton

About the role

Wood is currently recruiting Lab Technicians to join their team in Upton, Wyoming.

Responsibilities

• Work schedules are equal to the operations schedule.
• Understand safety procedures and safety mechanisms to ensure safety standards are met, maintained and optimized.
• Collections samples of materials as directed.
• Maintains analytical equipment, preparation equipment and sampling equipment as necessary to ensure adequate operation.
• Prepare data for reporting following established procedures.
• Ability to perform arithmetic in various units of measure.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
• Ability to interpret graphical information.
• Ability to detect deviations from acceptable criteria.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
• Ability to apply critical thinking to standardized situations.
• During times of construction, retrofits, downtime, and other non-operating conditions, seek to help team members achieve the timeliest, safest, cost-effective and best outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong computer skills surrounding data entry and data reporting.
• Documentation and record keeping.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior experience preferred; training will be provided.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, background and fit test.
