About the role
Wood is currently recruiting Lab Technicians to join their team in Upton, Wyoming.
Responsibilities
- Work schedules are equal to the operations schedule.
- Understand safety procedures and safety mechanisms to ensure safety standards are met, maintained and optimized.
- Collections samples of materials as directed.
- Maintains analytical equipment, preparation equipment and sampling equipment as necessary to ensure adequate operation.
- Prepare data for reporting following established procedures.
- Ability to perform arithmetic in various units of measure.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
- Ability to interpret graphical information.
- Ability to detect deviations from acceptable criteria.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to apply critical thinking to standardized situations.
- During times of construction, retrofits, downtime, and other non-operating conditions, seek to help team members achieve the timeliest, safest, cost-effective and best outcomes.
Qualifications
- Strong computer skills surrounding data entry and data reporting.
- Documentation and record keeping.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience preferred; training will be provided.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug, background and fit test.
