Lab Technician - Night Shift
About the role
This position is responsible for collecting data on quality attributes of product through performing a series of evaluations. This role is responsible for accurately grading product and filing into the Q.A. Systems in an organized manner, communicating any deviations to Team Leaders and operator work group. It must be able to work easily with all supervisors, operators, sanitation workers and other Process Quality Technicians. In this position you will ensure that the world is eating food safe and high-quality potato products.
Responsibilities

- Collects,reviews, andfilesaccurateQualityAssuranceData.
- Identifiestrends of quality attributes andcommunicatesto operator and floor supervisory group.
- Auditsproductionand packaging processes.
- Trainsback-upsand newteam members.
- Maintainsa neat and clean work area at all timesand exhibitsgood personal hygiene.
- Accomplishes other related work asrequired.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Certification in XX preferred.
- Sanitation certificationisrequired.
Skills and Experience
- Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to be qualified withintime framesestablishedbyfacility.
- Ability to perform basic mathfunctions.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Physical Environment/Demands
- Ability toliftupto50pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently.
- Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hottocold in temperature.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments toinclude: loud noise, excessive heat, cold, wet, slippery conditions, dirt, fumes, smoke,smellsand allergies.
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movementsrequiredfor job actions and procedures.
- Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
- Requires manual dexterity, overallcoordinationand good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties.
- Ability tooperatework related equipment.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation.
- May have to sample food while evaluating Lamb Weston products.
- Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis.
