Job Summary

A lab technician is needed to assist with behavioral recordings and quantification using deep lab cut, RNA isolation, and running PCR for gene expression. The position involves DNA extraction, midi prep, and TANGO system operations.

• Assist with behavioral recordings and quantification using deep lab cut, RNA isolation, and running PCR for gene expression.
• Perform DNA extraction, midi prep, and TANGO system operations.

Requirements and Preferences

• Work Schedule: 3 days a week; 6 hours/day
• Minimum Experience/Education: Bachelors degree; Experience with DNA extraction, midi prep, and TANGO system.
• Department Required Skills: Ability to work independently, contribute to a supportive team environment, goal-oriented, high level of motivation, excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, accurate record keeping and data management skills, excellent written and communication skills.
• Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education: Experience in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques (PCR; RT-qPCR; gel electrophoresis, DNA, RNA, and protein extraction, TANGO assay, cell culture).
