Lab Technician (microbiology)

At our cutting-edge medical products testing lab, we’re on the lookout for a dedicated Microbiologist/Lab Technician to help ensure the safety and effectiveness of medical products through meticulous scientific testing.

Responsibilities

• Execute a range of regulated laboratory tests, including Bioburden, Sterility, LAL Endotoxin, Microbial Limits, Anti-Microbial Effectiveness, and more, in strict compliance with industry standards.
• Record and maintain laboratory data, ensuring minimal errors and optimal accuracy.
• Flag and report any out-of-specification results or unusual findings to management immediately.
• Identify and address issues with samples, procedures, or equipment—proposing corrective actions and escalating as needed.
• Contribute to the research, development, and review of laboratory methods and SOPs.
• Prepare media, clean glassware and equipment, and perform steam sterilization as part of assay preparation.

Qualifications

• Minimum BA/BS degree OR AA with equivalent laboratory experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of microbes (bacteria, mold, yeast) and aseptic techniques.
• Proficient in the use of standard laboratory equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, plus technical document skills.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt swiftly to change.
• Basic math competency (fractions, decimals, dilution schemes).
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Pay

$20 - $25 per hour based on experience.

Schedule

Mon-Fri 9:30AM-6:00PM (Potential Saturday Overtime)
