Lab Technician I - 2nd Shift

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production, labeling, record reviewing, and data entry.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate data records and documentation.
- Prepare blood components through processes such as centrifugation, separation, freezing, thawing, washing, storage, sterile docking, transformation, and filtration.
- Ensure product quality, volume, appearance, and time requirements.
- Conduct labeling for routine and special components and implement quarantine procedures.
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED required.
- No prior experience required.
Skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Must be able to maintain donor, patient, and employee confidentiality.
- Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.

Pay
Hourly Pay: $18.27 - $18.67 per hour (DOE). Shift differentials: 9% for 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm, 14% for 12:00 am - 2:30 am, and 8% for weekends.
Schedule
- Shift Hours: Monday - Friday, 6:00 pm - 2:30 am with rotating weekends.
- Training Schedule: 12 weeks, Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm (must be able to attend).
