Lab Technician (Food Science)
Responsibilities
- Organize workload and prioritize samples to maximize output and meet deadlines.
- Execute ELISA Kit testing methods accurately.
- Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with Quality control and ISO requirements.
- Maintain a work environment that adheres to safety rules.
- Provide cross-functional support across the lab as business needs dictate.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, independent decision making, and a high attention to detail.
- Handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities with minimal guidance.
Essential Skills
- Basic chemistry laboratory experience.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including ELISA and wet chemistry.
- Knowledge in food science, quality control, and protein analysis.
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
- Experience in a GMP/GLP environment or undergraduate research.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 2-year or 4-year science degree in fields such as Biology, Biochemistry, Food Science, Environmental Science, Nutrition, or Chemistry.
- Proficiency in computer applications like Excel, Word, Outlook, and LIMS.
- ELISA experience or experience working in a food lab preferred.
Work Environment
- Based in a state-of-the-art lab environment.
- Long periods standing and tasks requiring manual dexterity.
- Four 10-hour shifts from Wednesday to Saturday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Holiday pay included.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MN.
Pay And Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
