Lab Technician Day Shift C
Key Functions Of Job
- Recording and monitoring temperatures of furnaces
- Weighing chemicals for additions and new melts
- Mounting and etching substrates
- Loading and dipping wafers into furnaces
- Programming and terminating growth cycles
- Measuring weight/thickness/warp of wafers accurately
- Performing some data analysis
- Prepping furnaces for new melts
- Entering data using Access
- Minor troubleshooting of furnace system/software
- Handling of acids
- Support other production processes as needed
Job Requirements
- Education: Minimum: HS diploma or equivalent Preferred: Associate degree in a technical/engineering/scientific field
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years’ experience working in a technical, scientific, or mechanical field. Experience working in a laboratory environment and following good lab practices. Experience working with precision measurement methods and systems. Experience with PC based computers for programming LPE systems. Intermediate or higher level with Excel, Word, and Access. Experience with Oracle is a plus. Experience working with fixtures, hand tools, and equipment controllers is a plus.
- Must be prepared to work 1 to 6 weeks Mon-Friday for training purposes. Shift timings may change to adjust to production necessities.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, or protected individual).
About the role
This role is ideal for candidates with experience in laboratory operations, manufacturing, materials processing, engineering support, or technical production environments who enjoy working with precision equipment, data collection, and process-driven manufacturing.
Shift
Shift C (Day shift 12 hours): Wed - Sat, alternating Wednesdays off.
Training
Training for this position will take place at our Hillsborough, NJ facility and will last approximately 6 to 9 months. Mileage reimbursement available during training period. At the conclusion of the training period this position will transfer full-time to our Easton, PA facility.
