This role is offered through a third-party provider (Magnit Global) who will be your employer. If selected, you will be assigned to provide services to Novartis as the end client. About the role

Novartis touches the lives of a tenth of the world’s population. The Sample Management group is looking for a highly motivated individual to be a key contributor within the Compound Hub, processing new Novartis compounds and inventory requests.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all new compound orders, weighing solid samples within a weigh hood using an analytical balance to create solutions, which then move onto the Tecan Liquid Handler.
  • Manage sample logistics, including packaging and unpackaging samples from both internal and external locations.
  • Ensure all service level agreements are achieved on a daily basis and work directly with scientific staff to complete orders.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree with experience working in a scientific lab, emphasizing compound inventory management and distribution utilizing automated systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of compound management activities, including inventory management, solution production, quality control, and logistics management.
  • Experience working with laboratory robotics.
  • Ability to diagnose and triage hardware and software issues quickly.
  • Strong personal and communication skills; ability to work well within a team.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, reliable, and able to prioritize workload.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products.

Desired Experience

  • 0-24 months of experience in a service-oriented position requiring attention to detail and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of instruments/systems such as Tecan evo, Biomicrolab Volume Checker, or Biomicrolab Tube Sorter.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (onsite in Cambridge, MA).

Pay

$20–$26/hour (W-2 only, based on education and experience).
