Pharmacy Technician - Compounding Lab

Responsibilities

• Perform compounding in accordance with formula logs and compounding procedures.
• Assure the proper maintenance, cleanliness, and use of all equipment used in the compounding process.
• Ensure personal protection by following appropriate gowning and safety procedures.
• Routinely submit samples for potency testing.
• Follow daily plan set forth by Compounding Pharmacist.
• Continually seek and implement departmental process and procedure improvements.
• Ensure documentation is complete with forms. (i.e. scale calibration, cleaning station)

Requirements

• Proficient in the use of PK Compounder & Script Pro.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
• Well organized with great attention to detail.
• Maintains a positive attitude with guests and team members.
• High sense of urgency.
• Must be a certified pharmacy technician who is registered in the state of Texas.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
• Requires the ability to stand throughout the day.
• Must be able to speak and communicate in a clear, articulate manner over the phone and in-person.
• Comfortable with operating pharmacy machinery (i.e. pouring powders in the tall hopper, pulling and lifting on tablet press lever).
