Lab Technician
Responsibilities
- Utilizes basic instrumentation to perform basic analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.
- Responsible for proper management of waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
- Adheres to all facility-specific waste analysis plans.
- Completes all paperwork associated with the analysis in a neat and timely manner.
- Ensures that all work meets applicable Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) guidelines.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocols.
- Reviews all applicable laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) annually and retains satisfactory knowledge on SOP quizzes.
- Responsibility for supply management in their area of responsibility, including proper housekeeping and best management practices.
Qualifications
- Must be willing and able to work at both the St. Rose, LA and Metairie, LA facilities on a rotating weekly schedule.
- Likely Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or another related science field.
- Ability to review, verify, and maintain accurate records in electronic databases and tracking systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with the ability to accurately maintain laboratory records, analyze data, and prepare reports.
Pay
Hourly Wage Range: $22/HR + based on experience
Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 6AM-2:30PM; Occasional Saturday as needed.

Requirements
Must be willing and able to work at both the St. Rose, LA and Metairie, LA facilities on a rotating weekly schedule. Locations are approximately 10 miles apart.
Skills
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or another related science field required;
Ability to review, verify, and maintain accurate records in electronic databases and tracking systems;
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
