Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions provided by Project Technical Leadership
• Cleans lab supplies and glassware
• Operates glass washers, dryers, and autoclaves
• Affords assistance with the removal and disposal of waste chemicals
• Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures
• Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures
• Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures
• Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum Education/Experience: BS degree in engineering is required (Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering preferred). 0-2 years of engineering experience is required, preferably in medical devices.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis.
• Basic Skills: Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills. Must be detail-oriented. Strong time management skills required.
• Proficient/Working Skills: Proficiency with MS Software Suite including Excel and Laboratory Mechanical Test Equipment is required.
