*Lab Technician

About the role

The Lab Technician position at Fisher Industries involves collecting samples and testing pit run gravel and processed aggregates. This role also includes measuring distances, gravel pits, and stockpile volumes, communicating with plant foremen, assisting with equipment modifications, and prospecting for new gravel sources.

Responsibilities

• Travel to remote locations to collect and test pits, run gravel, and processed aggregates
• Communicate with the plant foreman regarding material specifications
• Absorb equipment modifications to produce material within project requirements
• Communicate with prime contractors and project engineers on gravel specifications
• Measure quantities of materials produced
• Measure and map new and existing gravel sources
• Absorb assistance with setup and tearing down portable plants
• Comply with company's safety standards and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License, CDL preferred
• Team player with good work ethic
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent math skills
• Extensive overnight travel required
