Lab Technician 1

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Pay

$14.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, internal equity, market conditions, budgetary considerations, and organizational compensation guidelines.

About the role

As a Lab Technician I you will work in the sample preparation department of our environmental testing laboratory, receiving full training to develop a career in laboratory sciences.

Responsibilities

• Support scientists by preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis.
• Follow established sample preparation procedures.
• Work with various solvents and chemicals for sample preparation.
• Maintain and update appropriate documentation and databases.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, stand for long periods, work around strong smells, and wear personal protective equipment (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves – provided by Pace®).
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.
