Qualifications
- Indoor/Outdoor work which includes varying temperatures, entering coolers and freezers
- Majority of time is spent standing, walking, pushing, pulling and lifting
- Required to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required per Safety Policy
- Education: Required - High School Diploma or equivalent with three years laboratory experience
- PREFERRED: Bachelor's degree in science discipline
Responsibilities
- Maintains reagents, supplies, and calibrated equipment
- Prepares reagents and materials
- Reviews data
- Calculating results
- Maintains the cleanliness of the lab
- Communicates schedule, tests status, and concerns clearly and accurately
- Writes Laboratory Investigations, as needed.
- Revise Pre-existing Standard Methods and SOPs
- Trains others on methods & procedures
Skills
- Good Documentation Practices
- Pipetting
- Troubleshoot / Problem solving beyond method defined action
- Good Communication
- Familiar with good laboratory techniques
- Familiar with the use of autoclaves
