Lab Tech
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine physical and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples and finished product, including particle size distribution, pH, emulsion stability, specific gravity in accordance with approved SOPs and test methods.
- Collect, Record & Analyze Manufacturing/Lab/Quality data in graphical form.
- Monitor and approve line start-ups and clearances for both liquid and granular production in collaboration with manufacturing.
- Support formulation chemists in closure of Manufacturing batches in D365 & assist in D365 Inventory management.
- Catalog, label, retain, store, and retrieve samples in accordance with retention and storage procedures.
- Support in processing documentation for inbound/outbound loads for raw materials for Manufacturing/Quality Lab Processes.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices and comply with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow all applicable SOPs, work instructions, safety procedures, and quality policies; promptly report nonconformances, deviations, or safety concerns to supervision.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma with experience in related laboratory workplace; or an Associates or BA/BS in a science degree.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, basic formulas, charts).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Competent basic math skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate professionally.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision when required.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs to perform inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous laboratory, manufacturing, or quality experience preferred but not required.
