Job Summary
In collaboration with clinical and laboratory staff the Laboratory Tech Assistant will assist in the delivery of care to patients in the Emergency department; and will be responsible for emergency department phlebotomy specimen processing including Point of Care testing, and all other assigned duties of the emergency or lab department.

- Phlebotomy experience with all ages, neonates, children, and elderly, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work well within a fast paced, team environment.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and professionally in English as well as follow verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

Licensure and Certification
- Current California CPT-1 Certificate
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year continuous phlebotomy experience in fast paced environment preferred
- 1-2 years previous hospital laboratory experience preferred
