Lab Support Technician II

About the role

The Laboratory Support Technician (LST II) is part of the provider care team, supporting reports, data, and scheduling functions of the laboratory. This position is responsible for accurate, timely, and effective provision of laboratory support mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Accurately acquire all required types of specimens as needed.
• Perform laboratory testing using safe, accurate, and effective methodologies while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality requirements and lab policies.
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with Mercy's Signature Service Standards during all interactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a clinical training program.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficiency in safe, accurate, and effective laboratory methodologies.
• Compliance with HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
