Lab Specialist III – Analytical Laboratory Specialist
About the role
The Lab Specialist job is responsible for all activities relating to operation and maintenance of the analytical radiological laboratory equipment system (ARL) including development, implementation, and interaction with WTP requirement areas. This specialist will be specifically scoped to support sample management coordination and analytical equipment status tracking for the laboratory. Under direction of the Analytical Manager or Supervisor, may develop and perform administrative or technical assignments of various complexities within approved procedures, schedules, and budgets. May coordinate activities with employees in other disciplines and other functional work groups participating on an assigned project. May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned scientific personnel. Position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland).
Responsibilities
- Work with Lab Method SME to develop method and equipment health or status reports
- Act as a sample management point of contact for the Analytical Laboratory, coordinating with on-site organizations and off-site entities to successfully send, receive, and process analytical samples
- Support Facility management with coordination of needed work for the analytical equipment of the Laboratory
- Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for
