About the Role
Assists the department with students utilizing the Veterinary Technician training lab.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate the training lab
- Assist faculty with student-based Veterinary Technician projects
- Interface with the industry advisory board
- Assist faculty in evaluating student techniques for grading
- Collaborate with students and faculty to deliver courses
- Maintain and clean Veterinary Technician labs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Registered Veterinary Technician
- Minimum one year of related experience

- Ability to diagnose and facilitate minor equipment repairs

Physical Demands / Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a normal, professional office environment
- Work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated
- Typically involves sitting comfortably to perform duties, with repetitive hand/finger motions using a computer mouse and keyboard
- May require walking, standing, bending, and carrying light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, or books
- May require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite
Pay
Minimum hiring rate: $20.00/hour
Schedule
Part-time, flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
