About the role
Laboratory Processing Technician II position in the Laboratory department.
Responsibilities
- Perform EKGs
- Collect specimens within scope of training including legal specimen collection
- Prepare all specimen types (including accessioning, centrifuging, aliquoting, and packing for courier pickup)
- Assist with patient registration
- Assist with laboratory report distribution
- Perform other clerical duties
- Operate and troubleshoot pre-analytical automation as assigned
- Provide training and/or orientation for internal employees and external customers
- Promote and maintain a professional manner in all situations
Requirements
- Four-year high school graduate or GED equivalent
- Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Training
- ACT 169 clearance
- Successful completion of Acts 73 and/or 169 clearances within 90 days of commencing employment, if applicable
- Preferred: A.S.C.P. certification in phlebotomy
Schedule
Primarily evening shift 1230p-9p, rotating weekends, and holidays.
