Lab POC Coordinator - OLGMC - PRN
About the role
We implement and maintain the company's Point of Care Testing Program at assigned facilities. This includes coordinating point of care testing operations to ensure reliable patient testing and timely services. We monitor POC specific Performance Improvement / Quality Control activities and exhibit knowledge of and adherence to Institution/Department policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Oversees Point of Care Program
- Maintains Inspection Readiness/ Regulatory Agency Compliance
- Develops Performance Improvement/ Utilization Management Program for POCT
- Supports Departments Goals and Objectives
- Acts as Pathology Department Representative/Liaison
Requirements
This job requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of laboratory experience as a Medical Technologist. Preferred experience includes experience with regulatory agency accreditation inspections. Required certifications include a current Louisiana license or temporary license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist or Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Specialist, meeting CLIA and CAP requirements for testing personnel, and having an ASCP certification or equivalent as a Medical Technologist.
