Lab Medical Asst IV - Tech Asst POC

Responsibilities

• Assists the technical staff within the technical departments
• Handles any and all manual pretesting procedures including waived testing as required
• Serves as technical support during high volume periods
• Supports the morning run with phlebotomy
• Dual role: Night shift technical support and morning run phlebotomy support
• Works in a team environment
• Demonstrate organizational, time management, analytical, delegation, written, and verbal skills
• Use computer skills appropriate to position
• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
• Identifies problems and implements or recommends solutions
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Certified by ASCP / SCYM (if applicable)
• Certified by AMT Medical Technologists (if applicable)
• Certified by ASPT Phlebotomy Technicians (if applicable)
• Education: High School or Equivalent preferred, Technical Science preferred, Associate's degree preferred
• Experience: 1 year in related field required, 2 years in related field preferred
