Responsibilities
- Collects, receives and processes inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
- Communicates with nursing regarding patient specimens
- Refers specimens to outside laboratories
- Interacts with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
- Performs phlebotomy procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 6 months Phlebotomy, Laboratory related; or related field
- High School or equivalent, or Bachelors related field in lieu of experience
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills are essential for this role
