Job Summary This role provides general laboratory support to the DSTS chemistry laboratories. Key Responsibilities Performs periodic cleaning and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.Performs general laboratory support functions, such as cleaning glassware, autoclaving laboratory supplies, and laboratory housekeeping.Prepares various chemical solutions and media.Maintains stocks of laboratory reagents and supplies.Coordinates disposal of glass, biohazard, chemical, and radiochemical laboratory waste.Records data and performs basic mathematical computations.Reviews temperature monitoring charts.May assist with special projects as assigned.Follows all applicable SOPs and procedures.Ensuring lab equipment is operational, supplies are ordered and stocked.Requests from team are addressed in a prompt manner, including work orders, etc.Facilitating lab clean ups. Required Skills Customer serviceKnowledge of lab operationsComputer skills Education Requirements Doctorate degree OR Master's degree and 2 years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience OR Associate's degree and 8 years of experience OR High school diploma/GED and 10 years of experience Required Experience Doctorate degree required; OR Master's degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years of experience; OR Associate's degree and minimum 8 years of experience; OR High school diploma/GED and minimum 10 years of experience Work Environment / Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
