Work Role Responsibilities
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining in vitro and ex vivo cell culture systems for the research team in accordance with laboratory and safety protocols.
- Should be willing to work with in vivo experimental models of inflammatory bowel disease and obesity in terms of animal maintenance, treatments and generation of experimental data.
- Should maintain a laboratory notebook and electronically maintain an accurate record of all raw and analyzed data generated from experiments and should communicate the results with DCTS research faculty.
- Perform analyses and statistical comparisons of results to contribute to manuscripts and research presentations and effectively communicate results in both formal and informal meetings.
- Should be willing to perform non-routine tasks as needed to ensure high team productivity.
- Should have the knowledge and experience of basic laboratory equipment and techniques along with their proper maintenance/calibration.
- Display appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group setting which provides a positive influence on co-workers.
- Comply with all safety, environmental and health regulations and procedures of Marshall University.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
