Lab Manager

About the role

The Lab Manager oversees Avon and Avon Lake, OH laboratories, ensuring they support sales and facility operations. They communicate with transportation teams, attend KPI and leadership meetings, and present laboratory performance and compliance status. They also manage laboratory instrumentation, footprints, and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversight & Operations: Oversee laboratory operations, maintain compliance, and foster a safe, inclusive work environment.
• Quality, Compliance & Performance: Uphold compliance requirements, track KPIs, and manage laboratory instrumentation.
• Safety & Training: Lead safety meetings, enforce safety training, and promote a zero-incident culture.
• People Leadership & Talent Development: Promote cross-site coverage, interview candidates, and foster a high-performing culture.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field preferred
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a process laboratory or industrial laboratory environment
• Exceptional ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work effectively with laboratory equipment and instrumentation
• Demonstrated ability to develop staff, resolve conflict, and lead teams
• Ability to model and support Reworld Values and Behaviors
