Onsite full-time intermediate-level position (3-5 years of experience) in the Health Promotion and Development department within the School of Nursing at the University of Pittsburgh. The role supports two university labs researching Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, integrating epidemiologic and neuroscience methods in a population neuroscience framework.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day management and execution of multiple complex research projects, including recommending and implementing project procedures, tracking progress, assessing needs, assigning tasks, and evaluating team performance.
- Train consultants, subcontractors, clerical/technical staff, and graduate student researchers.
- Ensure compliance with all requirements of funding agencies and sponsors; document compliance for ongoing research activities.
- Construct data collection instruments and promotional materials; collect, analyze, and troubleshoot data; manage databases.
- Compile reports and present data findings as directed.
- Assist with screening, recruitment, and enrollment of study participants.
- Facilitate budgetary and purchasing decisions.
- Perform administrative tasks such as maintaining CVs, coordinating meetings, gaining budget approvals, completing paperwork, and submitting manuscripts to journals.
- Onboard and train research staff and students.
- Coordinate research activities, including IRB submissions, scheduling participants, and creating/administrating research assessments.
- Handle data management and analytic functions, including creation and data entry of RedCap surveys, data verification, cleaning, and basic statistical analysis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Epidemiology training preferred.
- Data management and analytic experience is a plus.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
