Lab Intern - Chateau St. Jean - $500 Sign-On

Roles And Responsibilities

• Assist with analysis of grape samples for brix, pH, and TA
• Perform daily brix and temperature checks on fermenting lots
• Set-up and calibrate laboratory equipment
• Sample and analyze juice and/or wine lots
• Support winemaking protocols
• Manage pump over schedules

Requirements

• A BS or BA degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, or enology is required
• Actual chemistry experience is preferred, and previous winery experience is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills with an attention to detail
• Computer literacy (Word and Excel)
• Outstanding communication skills
• Reliability and enthusiasm

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb stairs
• Ability to stand and walk for long hours
• Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds
• Ability to work both inside and outside in varying, often cold or wet, weather conditions
