Lab/Field Testing Technician - Tampa

About the role

This full-time opportunity involves performing basic laboratory testing and field work related to soils and concrete in the Tampa, Florida area. Responsibilities include organic content testing, grain size analysis, compaction, processing of material, and compression testing of concrete specimens in the laboratory. Field tasks involve soils and concrete sampling, nuclear density gauge testing, field inspection, and miscellaneous construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic laboratory testing including organic content, grain size analysis, compaction, processing of material, and compression testing of concrete specimens.
• Conduct soils and concrete sampling, nuclear density gauge testing, field inspection, and miscellaneous construction activities.

Requirements

• FDOT/CTQP/ACI laboratory testing certifications a plus
• The ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• The ability to perform mathematical calculations
• The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed
• The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed
• Excellent driving record within company standards
• Must be able to pass background screening requirements including criminal history, motor vehicle check, drug testing, etc.
