Field Test Technician
Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to the manager and other engineering technicians during field testing activities.
- Set up, operate, and test equipment outdoors according to provided technical documentation and instructions.
- Independently complete assigned tasks and field test procedures with minimal supervision.
- Operate landscape equipment safely and effectively as part of daily testing responsibilities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues encountered during field tests and report findings clearly.
- Accurately record observations, test results, and any issues identified during field operations.
- Maintain a professional and pleasant demeanor while working with team members and stakeholders in the field.
- Ensure that all equipment used in testing is handled, maintained, and stored properly after use.
Essential Skills
- Demonstrated mechanical inclination and comfort working with equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshooting skills to identify and address basic mechanical or operational issues during testing.
- Experience operating landscape equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work outside daily in varying weather conditions as required by testing schedules.
- Ability to read and write technical documentation and follow detailed instructions.
- Professional and pleasant demeanor when interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Background or familiarity with engineering concepts or environments.
- Previous experience in a field testing, technical, or hands-on mechanical role.
- Strong attention to detail when documenting test results and observations.
- Reliable time management skills to complete tasks within scheduled work hours.
Work Environment
This is a seasonal, full-time role working approximately 40 hours per week in an outdoor environment. The technician spends the majority of the time outside conducting equipment tests and operating landscape machinery. Work is weather-dependent; if it rains, work may be paused, and there may be opportunities to make up hours as needed. The role involves hands-on interaction with mechanical and landscape equipment, adherence to technical documentation, and coordination with engineering staff in a practical, field-based setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Sheboygan, WI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.00/hr.
